Masterclass is a handbell choir for ringers who want to learn to ring at an advanced level. You will ring together under the expert direction of Stevie Berryman while learning advanced ringing skills through games, exercises, and preparing music for a concert performance. Members of HCR will be on hand to offer one-on-one guidance.

WHAT   

• Meet for 1-hour rehearsals for 8 weeks.

• Focus on technique, rhythm, theory, and musicality skills necessary for advanced music.

• Prepare 1-2 pieces to ring at HCR's concert.

• Costs $99/ringer.

WHO

• Beginning to Intermediate level ringers

• At least 2 years ringing experience

• Basic music reading skills required

• Willing to learn and adapt

• Strong desire to learn advanced level handbell literature

REQUIREMENTS

• One time fee of $99 

• Commitment to attending all 8 weeks of rehearsals (barring illness or emergency)

• Provide own gloves if desired (they are not required)

• Solid black clothing for concert performance

• Rehearsal dates: March 19, 26, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7

• Performance dates (optional): May 17
